I was an argumentative kid. One teacher told me I should become an attorney and somehow, the idea stuck with me, even after I realized that the comment was purely facetious. But the profession has had a natural appeal to me, and I’ve been fortunate to have a very satisfying and rewarding career in civil litigation in Dallas over the past 50 years. I was fortunate to have been tutored by outstanding lawyers such as W.D. (Bill) Masterson and “Judge” Jim Kilgore during my formative years, and to have been surrounded by excellent lawyers throughout my career at Kilgore & Kilgore. I’ve been able to gather a wealth of broad experience through the nature of our practice, which results in a significant benefit to our clients. But most of all, I am proud of the character of our firm and the standards we’ve set. It’s a privilege to continue to serve this community as attorneys and counselors. A recent case comes to mind because we salvaged lost income and reclaimed the reputation of a deserving individual, a victim of tragic circumstances. This was a FINRA arbitration in which we obtained an award from a large investment company with excellent representation.
